Maccaca is the premiere site for artists and consumers. Artists can showcase their talent and consumers have access to variety of artistic content to view and admire.

Why was Maccaca started?
Maccaca was started to provide the artists a venue for displaying their art. Whether it maybe music, video, cartoons, lyrics, stories, etc. And for consumers to have access to all forms of art in one place.

Do I need to be an artist to register with Maccaca?
No. Registering allows you to experience the site with all its features.

Does Maccaca colloborate with media content producers like publishers, studios, etc.?
Not yet.

Is Maccaca going to market the artists who register?
Maccaca.com markets the artists who upload their content via the website. The content is visible to all (except when the member uploading the content prohibits access to All). There is no separate marketing effort. Maccaca.com is a facilitates artists to display their content on the website.

No. All we ask is you publicize and acknowledge Maccaca.com for finding the talent.

Why do I have to register myself to upload content?
Uploading content is a member feature.

Why do I have to register myself to rate content?
To prevent people from fraudantely rating the content multiple times. Once you have rated the content, you cannot rate it again.

Why do I need to provide personal information?
We store the personal information securely. Some of the features are age dependent. Also, providing of baisc personal information allows us to better serve the members by adding features to the site.

Is my personal information secure?
Yes. We do not share this information with anyone and we make all reasonable efforts to secure the information.

Can other members or users of Maccaca see my information?
Only if you indicate Everyone can see your information while creating your account and profile.

How do I colloborate with other members?

What kind of content can I post on Maccaca?
You can post audio, video, text and images in the format specified on the upload page. The content should not be copyrighted by others and you should be the owner of the content. Please read the policies posted on the site.

When you upload the content, select ‘Everyone’ to see your content.

What do I do if I find content that is objectionable?
Click on the link ‘flag as violating site policies’ next to the content. Provide a reason why you find the content objectionable. The webmaster will review the comment and if appropriate remove the content.

How is the content rated?
Each content has 5 criteria. Each criteria is rated and we use a special algorithm to determine the Overall Rating.

I saw a content that was available few days ago. But I cannot find it anymore. What happened?
The content was either removed by the content owner or was removed by the webmaster for violating the site policies.

Who owns the right to the content uploaded on Maccaca?
The user uploading the content owns the right and is responsible for ensuring that it does not violate the copyright and site policies.

How do I upload content?
Click on the ‘Upload’ link on the website and follow the steps.

When is the content available after upload?
Most of the times the content is available very shortly after the upload.

Why can’t I see the content that I just uploaded?
Sometimes due to heavy traffic and lots of people uploading content it may take some time before the content can be seen.

Why do I need to provide all the information asked at the time of upload?
It allows us to properly categorize and tag the content for search. Also, it allows you to provide the view permissions for the content to keep it private if you wish.

Why do I need to accept ‘Policy’ when I upload content?
To ensure that you are not uploading content for which you do not own the right and also to ensure that Maccaca will not be held responsible for copyright violation.

What are the requirements for posting content on Maccaca.com?
Very simple. Become a member.

I cannot find a category that is suitable for my content. What do I do?
Select ‘Other’ and provide the appropriate description. We update the categories periodically.

Paid Download Questions

I saw a content on the site that I liked but I cannot download it.
The content can be downloaded 7 days after it has been uploaded. Sometimes the content owner may decide not to make their content available for download. In that case you will not be able to download. If you are interested in purchasing the content, send a message to the content owner.

Is the checkout secure?
Checkout processed through PayPal. PayPal has an industry reputation for security.

Can I order the content to be shipped instead of downloading it?
You can contact the content owner regarding shipping. Most of the content on the site should be downloadable unless they are pictures of items that the content owner can sell via other methods.

What happens if I lose my internet connection while downloading?
You have 24 hours to download your content so losing your connection should not be an issue.

I downloaded content but the quality is not good?
Maccaca is not responsible for the posted content and its quality. Please send a message to the content owner.

I downloaded content and it is different from what I selected?
In rare cases that it happens, please send us a message and we will review and take corrective action.

Does the content owner get paid when his/her content is download?
Yes. The content owner gets a share of the download price. The content owner can check their account by clicking on 'My Account' to review their share of the price.

How much does the content owner get paid?
The content owner gets a share of the price for their content. The content owner can review the share by clicking on 'My Account'. The share may change periodically to cover for the cost of hosting the content and keep the website up and running.

How often does the content owner get paid?
Every time their content gets downloaded.

I am content owner whose content has been downloaded many times. How do I know how many times the content has been downloaded?
Click on 'My Account' to review the details of your content.

Can I burn the content downloaded into a CD or DVD or my portable music/video player?
If the content owner gives you the right to burn into a CD, DVD or any portable multimedia device then it is ok. Please check with the content owner regarding this question.

Can I sell the content that I paid for or post it on the internet for free download or share it my friends?
Selling someone else's content is a violation of the Intellectual Property Rights of the content owner and violates state as well as federal laws. Please check with the content owner regarding reuse of their content.

How do you set the price of the content?
The content owner set the price of their content when they upload their content.
